Kicking off March with a solid WWE haul

Another WWE endeavor. This time about 2-3 weeks after the infamous Rey Mysterio airport incident that went viral. And it was even in that exact airport no less. So it would be interesting to see how wrestlers would be like. Spoiler alert, most were their usual cool selves.

I started at one airport just to see who I could get randomly, but saw no one. I had a flight for Tegan Nox who I needed, but there was a mass flight into the airport where the Rey incident happened. I figured since I had Tegan's outbound and I didn't want to start by putting my eggs in one basket, I would go to the airport of the Rey incident.

Over there were 2 flights coming in at almost the same time with Charlotte Flair, Liv Morgan, Legado Del Fantasma (minus Zelina), Imperium, Bray Wyatt and more. Before the flight I chilled by a hotel that was close to the airport and at the bar were Wade Barrett and Michael Cole having drinks. I had no need to bother them but if they walked away I would ask. However it got to the point where I had to go to the airport.

At the airport it's the witching hour and it is chaos. In the chaos we see Bo Dallas and we thought it was Bray. But then realized it was Bo. I got an update. Charlotte signed, Liv Morgan was her usual super nice self. Saw Mad Cap Moss but had no need to chase him down. 

Saw Imperium and they all denied! A week after I got them in Philadelphia I heard an airport story where they denied everyone (keep in mind this way before the Rey video). So they must be done. I guess I was lucky enough to get them the final time they were nice.

Saw Legado Del Fantasma who recognized me from a couple of weeks ago. This time I got a group shot with all three. No signs of Bray but found out his flight was cancelled. And would later find out he wasn't at the show at all. 

Went back to the hotel to chill and get Michael Cole and Wade Barrett to sign. Shockingly they were still at the bar. On a whim I happen to double check a Raquel Gonzalez flight I had for early next morning in the other airport, and lo and behold it was changed for this evening and it's landing soon. 

Now it's rushing time to the other airport. But thankfully I arrive with 10 minutes to spare. See Raquel and she is nice as can be. Almost missed out on Raquel had I not double checked it on a whim as I had no outbound for her.

Overall a successful day. Got a fresh name and a cool group shot plus some autographs.

Next day starts at the hotel. I am told that Cameron Grimes is there. I never met him. I went there and got the op. He was nice as can be. I even imitated him and went "Ted Dibiaseeee" which he got a kick out of and thanked me. Although this victory would be negated as I would see him again at the airport the next day. Got declined by Ricochet who is no longer nice. But I have him.

Then I got an update with Kenny Dykstra, a very nice upgrade with Charlotte Flair, and updates with Kayla Braxton and Drew McIntyre.

Next day is back to the airport where I aim to get Tegan Nox at her outbound flight as I only have mask shots with her. I actually see Rey Mysterio walking but don't bother him. See Cameron Grimes and get him to sign for me. I see Bobby Lashley and get an auto. Then I see Shotzi whom I failed on 3 times (2X mask op and 1X decline). Ask her and this time she is super nice and does ops! FINALLY!

Then see Xia Li, another name I only have a mask shot with. This time get a proper shot plus the auto. See Hit Row and one of the Viking Raiders. Wasn't able to get them all but had no need for them. I got an update with Ashante. Was waiting on Tegan Nox but sadly she no showed her flight. PUNCH! I figured there was no chance she walked by me with her purple hair then upon further research I found out she indeed no showed her flight. But I got two fresh names in Shotzi and Xia Li who boarded Tegan's flight so I guess I can't complain too much. Then got an update and auto with Shayna Baszler and an upgrade with Rae Ripley.

I now got word from another section of the airport that Ridge Holland was sitting and waiting to board his flight (which conveniently was delayed). Since I never met him he was a priority. So I headed there. On the way there I run into Pete Dunn AKA Butch and got an update plus auto.

Now to a new area of the airport. I see Ridge Holland just sitting down and he is nice as can be. Got the combo. See Kenny Dykstra who is shocked to see me again. I get him to sign.

Braun Strowman is eating and drinking at the bar. When he finishes I get an update plus autos. He is super nice. Ended my time at the airport with some Drew McIntyre autographs. Three fresh names plus autos. Good day.

Ending February with an array of mostly music meets

There was a music event with lots of names, my main wants being Annie Lennox and Joni Mitchell. To start with, I did a flight for Annie Lennox, who is perhaps best known for Sweet Dreams.

Go to the airport and she is unfortunately sporting a mask and shades and is saying she doesn't want to take the mask off. She signs everything for anyone and proceeds to take mask ps. She tells me "it's special" and "don't be so sad". When it was time for me to take my mask shot she actually PULLS IT DOWN! I was the only one to get her with no mask (spoiler alert this success would be negated in the future as I would get a no mask and no shades shot).

The next day I went to a music event unrelated to the one with Annie/Joni. Featured were Shirley Jones (the black singer, not the white singer/actress who does cons), Jean Carn, and Melba Moore (she actually had a part in one of my favorite cartoons, All Dogs Go to Heaven). 

Shirley Jones did a meet and greet but I arrived 5 minutes too late. By a miracle of circumstances, I got escorted backstage and got ops with all three of them! It was a great feeling not to have to wait for them to leave the venue.

Next day it is back to the Annie/Joni and begins with an early morning flight of Mumford and Sons lead singer, Marcus Mumford. I go to the airport and he signs but says it's too early for photo ops. I thank him and I'm on my way. 

After mooching some breakfast and a powernap, I go to the hotel. I find out Joni Mitchell did send ins for one person and Cyndi Lauper racked it out. 

I see James Taylor and sadly forgot to print but got another op. Annie Lennox is next and she remembers me from the airport. I ask for an op. She goes "another one?" and I said yes this time no shades. Cyndi Lauper does send ins and I get two CDs done. 

Joni Mitchell is coming in and I plead for the op and she agrees! Despite her people trying to shove me away I push through and score the money shot and thru the skin of my teeth even get a valid shot for someone else. The day is officially an epic success. 

Go to another spot for movie director Jon Turteltaub. He directed 3 Ninjas and National Treasure. Was nice as can be and got him on some blanks. Back to the original spot but nothing was happening. So I called it a day.

Day is off to a slow start as I get Angelique Kidjo, Ledisi, Mark Bishop, and an autograph from Graham Nash. Joni Mitchell is not having it much to the dismay of the graphers. Thank God I got the op the prior day.

As the night ends, I get two autos from James Taylor and another auto from Graham Nash (I got a photo op from before so I let others have it).

Joni Mitchell comes back and they make her go in the side. Despite pleas from graphers she wouldn't sign.

The night ends with Marcus Mumford. He says one each, I get an auto then ask for the op. I tell him that it was me at the airport he says "I see that" and I say "thank you for doing the op this time" and he replies "thank you".
