My view on the Virgil subway sightings

After reading this thread on markedout.com I wanted to leave some insight.

People say it's sad and pathetic, and maybe that's true. BUT he's able to get people to pay him for combos, be it at  con or a subway, and that is more than almost everybody on this earth can do. Hell, most people that mock him (myself included) have paid him for autographs and/or photo ops at least once. So as much as we mock him he laughs all the way to the bank.

Some articles also claim he blew away all his money from WWE and WCW, but that is not necessarily true. While I do not know how his finances look like, by looking at him he seems to have done better for himself than most others. So I'm guessing he still has money in the bank. That doesn't mean he shouldn't have the desire to stack up on more money if he thinks he can make more money.

That being said, Virgil is truly full of legendary tales. Seems like only yesterday he flashed me at super mega show. To be exact it was actually July 13, 2008. I showed the photo to Jackie Haas and she goes, and I quote, "ewww he needs to get a life"

And now he may have made history. This could be the first ever instance of someone selling combos at a subway station

First two round of 2013 meets

Started 2013 with some good mid tier celebs.

First off I wanted to get Jenna Elfman and Bill Pullman. It was shortly after Christmas and they were coming in the very same day I had to drop my mom off at the airport (who was visiting for Christmas). Sadly, I would have a 5-6 hour wait at the airport, cause I dropped my mom off in the afternoon and the first flight was not due till the evening. Of course I could have gone home but it really made no economical sense to drive back and forth.

So I simply parked my car in the economy parking lot, spent some time with my mom till she went through security, then killed some time by putting carts back in the cart rack (which gives you 25 cents for each cart). It paid for about 50% of my parking costs. Not too shabby.

To add to all this wait, Jenna Elfman was my main want cause I already met Bill Pullman and had a photo op. I had heard mixed stories about Jenna, some said she was nice some said "she didn't even look at us". So that meant I was really uneasy and stressed out the whole time.

While I pretty much knew Bill Pullman would sign, Pullman autographs by themselves are not really worth all that time and effort. So essentially if Elfman was a bitch my whole day would be a bust.

Elfman was first, and there she was looking gorgeous. I asked for a photo op and she gracefully accepted. Not only that, she signed and gave some of the best convention quality autographs you could ask for. I got four done then asked for a fifth and she was more than happy to sign!

Wow I couldn't believe how nice she was. What a big relief!

Next up was Bill Pullman. While nice no where near as overly nice as Elfman. This is not a knock on Pullman, he did a combo and 2 extras for me. Though I had to wait a little and do some pleading to get my third and he goes "well only because it's from Casper" and I told him that I liked that movie and he goes "ok good". Pullman was great, Jenna was just overly great. While I was waiting Pullman's driver inquired as to who he was, and I told him.

Next round I decide to go for R&B Singer Brandy. While probably best known as Moesha I wanted her mainly because of I Still Know What You Did Last Summer. I already met the main star, might as well go for one of the co stars. When I got there she was with a guy. I first asked for a photo op and she was very nice about it. Then when I said I had a couple of items signed the guy said only one. I presented two hoping she'd do two, she goes "this is the better picture" and signed it. Really great convention quality autograph. I thanked her. Since she was so graceful when it came to the combo and made it a point to sign only one, I decided it wasn't worth pleading for an extra.

While they were waiting for their luggage I did google her boyfriend to see if he was a valid photo op of any kind, but the results were negative. So I called it a night.
