Scattered meets throughout April part 2

Around mid April I would go for the 80s band known as The Fixx. What is unique about them, they are the only 80s band left comprised entirely of original or core members. Opening for them is singer Jill Sobule who sang "I Kissed a Girl" in the 90s.

Prior to the show I get Dan K Brown (bassist), Jamie West-Oram (guitarist), Cy Curnin (lead vocalist), Jill Sobule who was nice as can be, and Rupert Greenall (keyboardist). Adam Woods (drummer) declines and says later.

After the show Jill does a meet and greet at her table, and I get a better shot. Wait for the Fixx to leave and finally get Adam Woods.

Jill would die of a house fire 2 weeks later.

Prior to Chiller Theater I would go for come celebs. Go to my first spot for the evening where I get Tig Notaro (fresh), Michael Chiklis (update plus autos), Rebecca Wisocky (update), and Rachel Bloom (update plus autos). The hotel was pitching at fit at us being there and even sent a security guard to monitor us. But given we were on the sidewalk not much they could do. The guard even told the hotel manager that the celebs are giving consent so nothing he can do and she was going insane when he said that.

I was expecting more check ins since I had flights but I had to go to another city for actor Bill Camp (Joker, Sound of Freedom). Also at the same event were Seth Gilliam and Chad Coleman but I had them.

Arrive at the event and sit down till it ends. I get updates with Seth and Chad then go to the backroom to find Bill who had walked away. Found him and he was super nice. But he would eventually go back and sit in the main area so that effort was a waste. I also get his autograph on some 8x10s and on my Lincoln Poster signed by Speilberg and others.

Next day I start at the airport where I get a fresh op with Courtney Eaton (plus autos). I also get Alan Ruck update (plus autos).

To the same spot as the prior day, it's off to a good start as I get an Iain Armitage adult update. I even showed him the child op I got with his in NYC years ago. I also got Sean Giambrone (update), Pauline Chalamet (fresh), Marg Helgenberger (update), and Dean Norris (update). Handlers were of course trying to stop us.

Sadly I never saw actress Lorraine Toussaint whom I never got. And Alex Borstein declined (though I have an op with her anyway). Waited some more to see what else I would see but it was dead for a while and I was getting ready to call it. But then Michael Chiklis comes out and I get a nice upgrade with him holding a cigar like the Kingpin would. It wasn't worth the extra dead time I spent there but at least it's a nice consolation prize.

After Chiller Theater I went to a spot to try and get Lorraine Toussaint. I see tons of actors I didn't need go in and out, but not her. I got another shot with Tig Notaro to upgrade my previous shot but turned out to be a downgrade since it came out slightly blurry. I gave up on this spot assuming Lorraine left. But I would later find out she stayed there for a few days after (which contributed to the reason I couldn't find her flight).

On the next spot I would see either people I didn't care about or people I already had. One good thing I got is Kevin O'Leary upgrade plus autographs. Some actors I got which were repeats include Spencer Garrett and Dean Norris. I got a dual shot with Dr Oz and his wife. I wanted a better shot with Alex Borstein and autographs but I completely botched that as she was leaving.

Next spot was a hotel. I had two main objectives. Composer David Newman and 101 jazz musician Marshall Allen. Newman made music for movies such as The Brave Little Toaster, Throw Momma from the Train, Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure, The War of the Roses, Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead, Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey, Anastasia, and many others.

First I get musician Chucho Valdes. Then see Danny Devito in the lobby and I get an updated shot. Sadly I had nothing on me to get signed. Finally see David Newman outside and get the photo op! Score! Never see Marshall Allen.

Go to the next event which is largely a dud. Arrivals include Oscar Isaac, Alex Borstein, and Lynda Carter. Since I had them it wasn't worth waiting there and navigating there.

Go to where Marshall Allen is playing and get him leaving. At 101 I believe this officially makes him the oldest person I have a photo op with. Also got Gary Giddins.

The final spot for the evening was a comedy show for actor George Wallace (Batman Forever). After the show I manage to mooch my way in and score the op!
